Shop the Drop – Amazon Fashion partners with global fashion influencers by creating limited-edition collections.

Amazon is known to sell EVERYTHING! I am an Amazon Prime Member but have never purchased actual clothing from Amazon until they created The Drop by Amazon.

From a business standpoint I think the Drop is an amazing way for Amazon to grow their demographic by partnering with social media influencers. Also providing Fashion Influencers a space to create their own fashion collection. Amazon drop ships their fashion products which means the products are made on demand. Drop ship directly from the manufacturer causes a delay in delivery. So do not expect to receive these in 1-2 days with your Amazon Prime membership.

My first purchase was the @signedblake, Blake Gifford. fashion influencer collaboration. To support black influencers and business owners I am consciously only purchasing from Amazon The Drop by Women of Color.

I purchase two items Black Floral Print One-Shoulder Long Sleeve Top and The Black Floral Print Lapel-Collar Button-Front Dress. I LOVE the print and the styling, both are on trend with strong shoulders. The dress can be worn as a layering jacket or alone or with a belt. The sizing is true to size but runs on the larger side as I am a size Small/Medium and purchased both items in size Small. I was surprised both items fit perfectly. I will pair both pieces with complementary colors pulling ideas from the print or contrast with a primary color that is opposite on the color wheel.

  • The pricing ranged from $50-$59, in my opinion, is high
• Quality
  • I was very disappointed in the Quality when I received my Amazon shipment. The print coloring seemed washed out and dull not vibrant.
• Details
  • The Dress lacks pockets
  • The Top has a belt that does not add anything to the top. I think it is too long.

Will I buy it again? I am not sure. If it is a trendy statement piece, from an influencer that I follow with a lower price point I will purchase again.
